“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.” Oscar Wilde
Adventure is living. Living is adventure. In the end it is the fulfillment of life.
No doubt I’m living an adventurous life. No, I don’t climb mountains, race marathons, raft the rapids, I don’t even golf. I am a mom. I am the mom of a first-year high school wrestler. This is my new adventure.
I live in northern California with my husband of 22 years and 3 of our 4 kids. Our oldest is 20 and living an independent college-student life. Whoo — one out the nest!! We have 16, 14, and 9 year olds at home.
This year my 14-year-old son, Jack, decided to join his high school wrestling team. I thought, “This is great! Get involved in high school activities.” Little did I know high school wrestling in our community is boot camp with professional wrestling rolled into one. Oh dear!
Truthfully, though, I am very excited to participate from the stands with my son. I am also very excited to share these adventures with you along the way.
Oh, did I mention in addition to wrestling (until March!) I have two businesses and my youngest has taken ballet for 5 years? Can’t wait for June… recital time! We’ll talk about runs in tights, costume changes, and that ballet bun then!
Cheers for now — Tammi
